What is the role of prayer in fulfilling the Great Commission?
The Bible places great importance on the role of prayer in the fulfillment of the Great Commission. The term "the Great Commission" refers to Jesus' final command to his disciples (and hence to the church as a whole) while he was physically on the earth:
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19–20)
